Setting The Tone For Meetings

Do you too often find meetings boring, unproductive, repetitive, or incapable of holding your attention?  If so, did you know that YOU may be the reason for that – whether you’re running the meeting or not?!

Your frame-of-mind going into the meeting sets the tone of the meeting for YOU.  If you’re focused on other things, angry, frustrated about something that happened earlier, or anticipating a less-than-spectacular meeting, then you in essence have pre-determined a negative tone of the meeting.  Your demeanor can also affect other attendees and their outlook of the meeting – either negatively or positively.

A positive attitude going in may be just what is needed to re-set the tone of the meeting from negative to positive.  Try it and see for yourself.
